Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps in Czech Republic Q3 2022

The third quarter of 2022 saw varying trends among the top five navigation and maps applications in the Czech Republic, according to data from Sensor Tower. Here’s a closer look at their performance in terms of downloads, revenue, and active user metrics.

Mapy.cz: maps & navigation by Seznam.cz a.s. maintained a strong presence with weekly downloads peaking at 24.8K in early August. The app experienced a decline towards the end of the quarter, ending with around 10.4K downloads in the last week of September. Active users showed minor fluctuations, starting at 275K in late June and closing at approximately 257K by the end of September.

Google Maps had a consistent performance in weekly downloads, starting at 11.6K and experiencing a slight decline to 6.8K by the end of the quarter. Active users remained relatively stable, starting from 763K in late June and ending at around 690K in late September.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic saw weekly downloads starting at 10.7K and gradually decreasing to 6.7K by the end of September. The app’s active user base began at 568K, peaked at around 594K in early August, and then declined to approximately 526K by the end of the quarter.

Sygic GPS Navigation & Maps by Sygic a. s. showed a varied performance. Weekly revenue peaked at $6K in early July but dropped to about $1.9K by the end of September. Downloads started at 2.3K in late June and saw a decline to 1.4K by the end of the quarter. Active users also showed a downward trend, starting at 9.9K and ending at approximately 8.4K.

Google Earth maintained a consistent level of weekly downloads, ranging between 2.1K and 1.8K throughout the quarter. Active users remained stable as well, starting at 19.4K in late June and ending at around 18.3K by the end of September.
